Don't rent from Enterprise Car Rental

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Rented a minivan through Costco from Enterprise Car Rental at Ontario Airport and before car insurance the quote was $130.00 from Costco for the allotted time. Added full coverage car insurance and the total cost was over $500.00 for same time. Now keep in mind I rental the same kind of vehicle for the same time quite a few times and this $500.00 was never reached. I blame this totally on Enterprise Car Rental there cost for full car insurance is never disclosed until they hit you with the bill. So go with someone else and read all the comments on the company you're renting from

My husband and I rented a car from Enterprise, one of the recommendations from Costco Travel. We picked up the car and it was pouring rain. Car was dirty inside and the gas tank was on 1/4 full. We were leaving early in the morning so we had to clean the Van Fill it up, all that should have been done before we picked it up! It rained on our trip and the wiper were original and terrible. Customer service was good but not happy getting an unclean car with bad wiper blades. Notsafe to drive with bad blades in the rain.

Condescending ***

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
8-10-18 called the so-called “help line” and was answered by a woman who was clearly annoyed at having to deal with people. She wouldn’t listen to my issue, just wanted to walk me thru the steps I clearly told her I had already done 10 times! She finally condescended to tell me that the website “didnt interface properly” with Firefox and I needed to switch to Google Chrome. She was more interested in delivering her knowledge in a sarcastic monotone *without letup* than listening to what I was asking until I finally loudly interrupted and demand she listen to me! I have NEVER had to do that before! Once I switched over to Chrome I was able to do everything I needed to do, didnt need her at all. I think she was hoping I would hang up on her. All I wanted to do was print out the freaking itinerary!!

Would you be so kind as to state whom you spoke to (if you can recall), when the call was made (date and time or the best you can recall) OR a confirmation number associated with the booking? (Starting with C or A depending on your country of residence. please do NOT post your membership number)

Horrible! Don't book anything with Costco Travel!

I booked a vacation last July 2017 to St. Croix and while our vacation on St. Croix was wonderful the promises and service Costco Travel provided were not! We were promised a set daily resort credit and Executive 2% Reward credit that was never given to us. Our pre-booked paid flights that Costco set up were full and we ended up having to pay extra to get seats on one leg of our flight. I called back a few times to ask questions before we booked and every time I was given different information and offers. When I mentioned the previous offer the agent said, "oh that offered expired." I said I called an hour ago and the offer already expired!? That should have been my first clue They say they are not on commission but I don't believe it. I think they make it sound really good and then bait and switch you. I have called and requested help and compensation but hit a brick wall. Their response was that you should have read the small print. No! you should clarify things with your customers instead of conveniently leaving the details out. We will never use Costco Travel again!!! We now hardly ever even shop their store either. Use their travel if you want but proceed with caution. Oh yeah, and don't forget to read all the fine print! You have been warned.

Question before I book

If I book a cruise and the price of the cruise for 2019 drops in price on the cruise line website Will Costco Travel honor the cruise line price as long as it is before final payment and is there a fee Costco charges to do so.

Costco won't do a thing for you unless you call and pester them to check the prices on the new promo. You are much better off with an actual agent that you can talk to and have the same person to deal with every time.

My travel agent will always check new cruise promos and she takes the time to explain to me what I am gaining in savings vs. what I may be losing in perks.

Sometimes the new lower price comes with less onboard credits, etc. and Costco won't take the time to explain that.

Car Rental was Easy

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Used Costco.ca to find a rental in Canada, we compared prices and didn't have to pay until we arrived at the rental office. They picked us up, the paper work took a few minutes, the car was clean and ready to go. The return to the airport was smooth, we parked the car in a designated spot and did not even need an inspection by the agency; in fact I received a discount as the originating rental office forgot to tell me something (talk about being business like & thorough). I wish you could all experience the ease of our transaction especially as Costco already highlights the best deals for each type of rental. Be sure to get a vehicle that is big enough as we found that the "intermediate" size was hard to get out of for a 6'2" guy.

A Costco special offer Respresentative hung up on me

I received a call from a Costco special promotional offer resprsentative. The representative was courtesous and very gracious, who then transferred me to a what i can only guess was a manager, since the promotion only accommodated 2 adults and 2 children under 4.

I explained that i traveled with 7 adults (all family members). Once, i asked how long i had to purchase this promotion (as I needed to confirm with the adults), if this was something they wanted to do) the 2nd rep explained i had only until the end of this call. As I begin to explain that i could not do it now without consulting my companions (no time during the call did was it told that had one opportinity to decide), before, I could finish my sentence, the rep hung up on me.

I have been a customer of Costco for over 20 years. And only accepted the call, because of how I valvue Costco's customer service and reputation, but tnis experience has left a very poor taste in my mouth and i will now probably never use Costco Travel.

If you or anyone you know ever receive a phone call or email from someone claiming to be from Costco Travel, and if you do not already have a vacation booked with Costco Travel, then it's a scam! Do not give them any information.

I've worked at Costco Travel for the past 13 years in several departments and the way our business works is we do not call people. We are an inbound call center only, which means we book travel for people who call us or book on our website, we do not call out to make sales or offer promotions. We do not have a call list of any sort either. The only time you would receive a call from anyone at Costco Travel is if you already have a reservation booked with us and we need to get a hold of you to follow up on something regarding your already booked vacation, such as to let you know of some sort of air flight schedule change or special request you've submitted etc.

I've heard of this sort of scam going around and it damages reputations of legitimate upstanding businesses such as Costco Travel. We don't call and harass people. We really care about our Members.

It frustrates me that this happened to you. But trust me, it wasn't from the real Costco Travel.

Expensive like ***

Costco Travel is a bunch of crooks hiding behind the trusted name, over-charging loyal customers. My experience can be summarized as follows: I wanted to rent a car on Maui for December dates. Costco Travel offered a mid-size car from Alamo for $445. The same car size was purchased for exactly same dates from Alamo for $218 elsewhere. These crooks do not deserve to be associated with Costco at all. Avoid at all cost! Keywords: Costco Travel complaints, issues, expensive, problems, scam, overpriced, not worth it, untrustworthy, inflated, high-priced, unreasonable, costly, overpromoted, irresponsible ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now is the winter of our discontent Made glorious summer by this sun of York; And all the clouds that lour'd upon our house In the deep bosom of the ocean buried. Now are our brows bound with victorious wreaths; Our bruised arms hung up for monuments; Our stern alarums changed to merry meetings, Our dreadful marches to delightful measures. Grim-visaged war hath smooth'd his wrinkled front;

Enterprise: rent a car without spare tire

With the help of Costco Travel, this month I rented a car from Enterprise at Edinburgh airport for travel around Scotland. On June 13, I incidentally hit a curb and broke the front left tire. Replacing a tire with a spare is not a big deal; it normally takes 20 to 30 minutes. But when I opened the trunk, I was shocked to find out that there was no spare tire in the car. I called Enterprise, and they explained that renting a car without a spare was not a mistake, but is their standard practice. To me, it was a second shock. Enterprise provided road assistance (waiting time was about 2 hours). With their help, I moved the car to the repair shop in other town, left it there, took taxi to the the place of my overnight stay and back next morning. As a result, besides the taxi costs, half a day of my precious travel time was ruined, only because Enterprise rented a car without a spare tire. Now I would like to hear Enterprise's explanation: is renting cars without spare tires really their standard practice, or it was just a mistake of the local rent office? If this is their policy, I think it is outrageous and simply dangerous to the customers. In this case I will never rent a car from Enterprise and will advise all my friends and colleagues against it. If this was just a mistake, then I expect Enterprise's apology and compensation for my wasted time and money.

I spend 30 years raising kids and getting up too early and I book my first really deserved vacation away from the kids and it’s pound pound drill noise every weekday at 7am More noise than the kids ever made put together. Costco does not warn me. Live Aqua in Cancun will not help me and then Costco travels lies to me and say the noise only starts at 9am. But really it’s 7am. Beware

Rental Car

We rented a car through Vostco Travel at Enterprise. Price was ok for a van. Got the van and it only had 1/4 tank of gas, looked like it was never swept out after last person rented very dirty inside and out. The wiper blades must have been the original. We drove through heavy rain and had a difficult time seeing. Was not a happy customer. We planned on leaving early the next day so we had to make stops to clean car and gas it up before our departure so that was inconvenient.

Bad communication

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

we booked a two region vacation package thru Costco to Hawaii. everything that was out of the ordinary while booking online Costco highlighted in red so I could make sure that I got what I wanted, except my inter island flight.

in their package included is a night flight. so i assumed i would have my room until the night or they would have highlighted it in red just like everything else they did. But they did not so now I have to pay an additional $200 so we don't have to stay in the lobby with all our suitcases and 3 children for the day. and Costco's rep's response when i called them and asked about this was "no one is forcing you to stay in the room and pay" .

This is not the treatment I expected from Costco. i am not sure I will use them again and I caution anyone else who is thinking about using them.

Budget rent a car on Kauai will wast your time.

I waited, and paid for, 24 minutes for my vehicle to be washed even though there were similar cars in the lot. They don’t have enough employees.

I frequently rent cars in Kauai and haven’t had this problem with other rental car companies. Alamo sent me

to a row of many cars and let me pick one and immediately leave. Enterprise twice has let me pick up graded cars for the same price. Budget customer care is a joke.

They offered my a $20 coupon on a future rental car if I entered my credit card info.

No thanks. For a similar price I could have rented from Alamo and wished I had.
