I will never use Costco travel again and suggest that anyone traveling overseas avoid using this agency.
They booked my wifes name incorrectly on the airline ticket and never became aware of the issue until I found out the morning of our flight. The hassle this caused cant be described in such few words.
They were totally unable to help and I had to spend 8 hours with the airline to fix their mistake. We missed our flight and an entire day of our trip.
I tried to work with costcos customer service to get some sort of compensation for our trouble. After emailing back and forth and spending hours on the phone explaining to multiple agents what happened over a period of 2 weeks they offered me a $50 shop card I felt offended and honestly a little disrespected.
They have terrible customer service. Terrible agents, and everything is lip service.
I would have saved money, time, and a whole lot of headache had I booked this trip myself. Never again!
The customer service person by the name of Atylan was extremely helpful. She was able to help me with my travel arrangements. I was truly grateful, yes.
Very poor customer service..they even dont listen to your points. There is only one mean lady there "Renee Prengel" who only says "I am sorry" ...this is not the way of customer service definition.
I'm really disappointed with Costco Travel. I don't want to give even one star.
Their handling of the issue has left me frustrated. When I spoke to a supervisor, it was clear she needed better customer service skills. I know her name, but I am not going to mention it here. Within just three days of booking, the price shot up, and despite my polite inquiry about a possible adjustment, they refused.
I even asked about using Costco gift cards, but that was a dead end too. Spending over $7,000 on this trip, the $200 difference might not seem huge, but who would be happy that the price went down and you're not going to get that money back within only 3 days of booking. Their poor handling of the situation has left me thoroughly dissatisfied with their customer service.
It wasn't just about the $200 difference anymore; it was about their way of dealing with the customer. I won't be using Costco Travel again.
