After an hour on hold supervisor buck answered at 440pm est blew off recording of employee Emma calling customer racist for asking about additional charges.
Representative Emma refused to answer the question and stated I am a racist because she has An accent I explained after asking 6 times why this amount went up and her refusing to answer I wanted a supervisor. Supervisor "buck" completely brushed off the customer service complaint and also could not answer the question at first.
This is terrible customer service making people feel like it's a burden that they dare call you. I cannot believe that an employees first reaction to a question is "your racist".

Bad hotel experience at Majestic Colonial Punta Cana
We had an all inclusive package from Costco for the Dominican Republic. Costco service here and DR was good but the hotel was miserable Majestic Colonial Punta Cana
Hotel has following issues
No bath towels at even 3pm and we didnt get towels for all days we stayed
Pool closes at 6PM
Food was only average but the service in all restaurants except supreme buffet was very bad.
In Taino Caribbean restaurant I ordered chicken burger and was served beef burger (and I dont eat beef) . When I complained to supervisor who took my order replied that it is mistake of cook
We kept waiting for giving order at Taino for about 25 mins and no one attended before getting order .
One guest party sitting next to us also went back without eating
We were there for four days and didnt get reservation in French restaurant for dinner . Hotel should manage so at guest gets atleast one sitting for dinner
We were told they will call us on update but didnt get any update on reservation in all four days
Never choose this hotel Majestic Colonial if you are going to Punta Cana

I have been a loyal Costco member for 12 years. I have always been pleased with the quality of their offering until now.
I used Costco Travel earlier this year and want to share that experience in hopes that it helps others. I booked an April trip to Paris and Amsterdam through Costco Travel. On the way to the airport, we began to get flight delay notices. By the time we got to the airport, the flight was delayed to the point that we would not make our connecting flight to Paris.
We were supposed to leave Tuesday evening and arrive in Paris late Wednesday morning. Our only option was to take a flight to Chicago, spend the night, then fly to NYC, spend the night, and get to Paris on SATURDAY afternoon. We were scheduled to take the train to Amsterdam Sunday morning. We were not okay with missing the first leg of our vacation, so I spent 2 hours on the phone with Costco Travel trying to see if there was anything to be done.
They were ZERO help. American Airlines was offering refunds, but because we didnt book through the airline, they could not refund us. I called Costco back to tell them I was cancelling and was told the fee to cancel day of was $3000. I wont go into how many phone calls and discussions we have had, but it has been 6 months since this happened, and we are still being told we are waiting to see if the airline will refund the airfare.
The airline was willing to do the right thing, but Costco still has not. So my warning is this: Read all of the fine print before you sign up for a travel package with Costco and buy travel insurance.
Otherwise, you will have no recourse if something goes wrong and will lose a lot of money like we did. I will definitely never book with Costco again.

Verified BuyerTrip insurance trip interrupted
We accidentally (because I forgot) that I had originally purchased trip insurance through Zurich so I signed up again before our trip. I have 2 trip policies for the same trip through the same company- Zurich.
They are telling me that I can only file on 1 policy, even though I have 2 policies. The rep told me that I would be committing fraud if I filed for both, they surely would have keep my money for both if I had no trip issues

- Do not have more than i trip insurance with zurich

Don’t use Costco travel or go to Impressive Premium resort in the Dominican
Booked 2 rooms with upgrades and never got the rooms. Not family friendly as advertised.
People are rude, rooms dirty and bad food. They use deceptive practices to get people to sign hold harmless agreements. They forged my husbands signature. I began calling Costco immediately upon arrival and filed a complaint with them.
They said its a he said she said thing and didnt do anything. That resort is still advertised on their site.

Flight interruption
Snow created flight problems. Costco did an excellent job of helping us get successfully through it.
Stranded in Madrid
I had rented a car through Costco Travel to be picked up at Madrid Airport with Enterprise. Upon arrival, I and several other people at Enterprise were told their car had been cancelled.
We had reservations in the Rioja region that we had nonrefundable reservations for. Enterprise was unsympathetic and offered no reason or recourse for our situation. We went to Hertz since my traveling companion had a gold card with them. They and everyone else had no cars available, but were kind enough to get one brought to the airport for us from another location.
It was a manual car costing double what we had planned for. Upon calling Costco Travel, their response was to file a complaint.
I have been informed it will take 4-6 weeks to be addressed. Unacceptable!

I booked an Alamo rental car through Costco travel at Oakland airport to go to Yosemite. 2 hours into the drive, I get a driver front tire deflating warning in the middle of nowhere.
No cell service. We stop at first hotel and stay until dawn. Cost me $215. Hotel Mgr tried to call Alamo, no answer.
We couldn't cancel the reservation for the hotel we were supposed to stay in. I buy a pressure gage in the morning and tire is fine, sensor must be busted. I call Costco travel, send a pic of the tire warning and my receipt for the hotel. They tell me I can connect to Alamo directly.
I tell them that they are supposed to be my advocate..that's part of what I paid for. They opened an issue supposedly.
I've heard nothing in the past week. Terrible service Costco Travel!

Rented a SUV for a long weekend through Costco Travel. Upon arrival at Indianapolis Inter airport went to Budget counter on 10/6/23.
There were two counter clerks and A line of over 30 customers waiting. We realized that almost every customer was experiencing issues with getting the car they reserved. After 90 minutes in line we find that our SUV was not available. Got downgraded to something we really did not want.
But no choice! When we left there were over 50 people in line. In the parking garage we could not find our SUV, waited 25 more minutes for it to arrive dripping wet and dirty inside. Not vacuumed or wiped down.
We were an late to rehearsal dinner and in our travel clothes. Will NEVER use Costco or Budget again.

Can't sign in
Ive been trying to sign into my travel account however it shows the membership number does not match my name. Asked for new sign in but it wont send as my name doesnt match account number. I gave the same account number and I havent changed my password

CT confirmed my rental C42786**** for $1848.05 incl taxes and fees.
Budget just sent a contract for $2454.94 incl several fees + taxes.

Terrible customer service.
Said I upgraded when didnt. Called budget directly and got refund same day, two months after trip.

I believe they do up charge and try and play dumb to the fact. It happened to me.
